DESCRIBING PLACE

I want to describe one of the kitchens of Sanata Dharma University. That kitchen is very small. The location of the kitchen is near the Audio Visual Laboratory 4, precisely in the second room next to the Laboratory 4. In the kitchen we can find many equipments are used for making drinks. The equipments are stoves, kettles, glass, spoons, etc.
Every morning the employees make some drinks and serve to the lecturers and others employees.

In the right side of the kitchen we can find two sinks. We can see many stoves near the sinks. The employees usually use the stoves to cook some water. In the left side there is a cupboard. Inside the cupboard there are plates, glass, etc. The kitchen is very simple decorated and painted.

In front of the kitchen there are some cleaning equipments. The cleaning services usually wash the dustbins and put it near the kitchen. OK, that's all about the kitchen of Sanata Dharma University.

My Best Friend

I have many friends in my campus, my village, and everywhere. I love all my friends. But now, I want to tell only one of my friends. She is Yoana Rahma Faida. She is about 18. She has straight length hair. She has a big eyes and she is a beautiful girl. Although her body is little fat, she is very good-looking. She has an attractive face and appears cheerful by nature.
She is studying communication in UPN. I don't know what makes I like her very much. I also can't lie to her. She always makes me comfort. She like wears a casual clothes. And for me, her style is up-to-date.
She is a cheerful person. She always makes me happy if I got a problem, and after that she helps me to solve the problem. That's why I need her when I'm in a trouble.
She likes to come to my house. My mother knows her closely. She always accosts my mother and asks my mother's condition. Sometimes she also shares her problem to my mother. That means if she is being open to others.
She is an easy going person. She likes accompanies me to buy something, like t-shirt, trouser, or anything which I want to buy. And she never complains about it.
But, there is no perfect person. She also has bad habits. She can't manage her time well. She likes playing than studying when she will get assignment or test. Finally, she always gets a bad mark.
I also call her a lazy person. She always gets up late. She hate if somebody awaked her roughly. So, her sister always awakes her patiently.
In the other hand, she is a kind person. She likes to help others. And I love her very much. She is my best friend. But remember! She is not my girlfriend.

Personal Description

Who am I? My name is Mahatma Primandaru. My nick name is Atma. But my family call me Ndaru. I am a student of the Sanata Dharma students, especially English Education Study Program. Right now, I'm in the third semester.

Although I am 19 years old, I try to looks younger. But I don't know why my friends still consider that I look older. It's challenge for me.

My address is in Kulon Progo, but I also have a small house in Gowongan Kidul. My friends said that I'm a cheerful person. I like to make my friends laugh. That's why I like to search many jokes.

I also like music. Music can express my feeling. I enjoy listening to the music and singing together with my friend. That is my favorite hobby.

Actually I'm not a handsome person. I have wavy bold hair. I'm not tall and little fat. I also wear glasses. Although I have no good appearance, I try to be kind to other peoples.

Do you like dance? Actually my family is dance lover, and so do I. I like watching the performance of modern or traditional dance. In traditional dance we can see more patiently from the movements.

Basically I enjoy my life. I have many friends. I should not pretend to be someone. Be my self is important to me.

Tripping to Magelang

On Sunday the 13th September, 2009, the weather conditions in Nanggulan, Kulon Progo was very hot. Actually I wanted to drink, but I was fasting. So I just tried to sleep in my room. Suddenly my friend, Yoana, called me, she asked me to accompany her to go to her grandma's house. I was exited because I was bored in my house. Yoana said that she'll arrived in my house about 12 pm.
After Yoana was arrived, I prepared all things that I needed and I entered the car. In the car, I met Yoana's sister, named Uchie. Uchie was the driver in our vacation. Honestly, I was afraid because Uchie couldn't drive very well. But I tried to believe her ability.
On the street, Uchie made the situation happier. She sang a 'campursari' song and pretended as a best driver. After five teen minutes we arrived in Kalibawang, the street of Kalibawang is so extreme. I was praying during the time. Suddenly the car stopped. What happened on the car? I confused when I saw that condition. Actually there was no problem in our car, but Uchie couldn't driving well. Because that condition, Yoana asked me to drive the car. Then I drove the car to the Magelang. The street was crowded and I felt so thirsty.
Finally we arrived in Yoana's Grand mother. I was happy because Yoana's grandmother is very kind to me. She asked me to sleep in the bedroom. Because I felt tired, I slept about 30 minutes. Yoana also slept near me.
The day was evening, I woke up slowly and went to the bath room. I saw Yoana still slept, I didn't want to disturb her. After I took a bath, Uchie asked me to accompany her to the Matahari Department Store. The location of Matahari Store from Yoana's grandmother is about 35 km. It is quite far for me, but I wanted to help Uchie, so I accompanied her to go there.
Uchie wanted to drive the car so I just sat beside her. In the middle of our trip, we arrived in a small market, the market was very crowded and full of 'andong' ( a horse cart). Uchie drove slowly accros the street, but suddenly 'an andong' came towards us. I shouted loudly and I was afraid. Uchie's car got a little scratch. Uchie was angry to the driver of 'andong'. Because I would not the situation more bad,I suggested Uchie to go away from there.
On the way, uchie felt sad, she thought about her car and she chose to come back to the grandma's house. In the grandma's house, Uchie saw her car and she brought her car to the repair shop. I just stayed at home and took my dinner.
At 7 pm, we would come back to Yogyakarta. We felt tired and a little sad because of the accident. On the way we just keep silent. When I arrived in my house, I told that accident to my family. But my family were laughing at me. I didn't know what am I supposed to do.

ENGLISH WELCOMING DAY

EWD 2009

EWD in 2009 is a wonderful experience for me. Because I became a committee of EWD 2009. I was so happy when I saw many students were enthusiastic to sing the jingle of EWD together with me. I heard the students' laugh and they were so happy. Although the weather was very cold, many students didn't stop to sing and dance with me.

In the middle of the night, X-vaganza dance came and showed a beautiful performance in front of us. First of their performance, the BBOYS (male dancers), showed the freestyle dance. Then, the sexy dancer (female dancers) came and made the situation happier. Every student was enthusiastic looking X-vaganza's performance. My friends asked me to join in the stage together with X-vaganza dancers.Oh My God...I was so exited.

After X-vaganza performed their dance, all students prepared to perform their ability. Most of them performed dances and jokes, that's made I couldn't stop to laugh. I also became the jury to determine the winner of all their performances. I was confused because their performance were so fantastic. But, I chose one of them become the winner. After the talent show was over, all of the students were tracking until morning.
In the morning, situation was so cold than the night before. All of the students were so tired. I slept in the common room because I was sleepy. I felt my body was very sick.

At 8 a.m. most of students sang the jingle of EWD. Then, they enjoyed playing many games in the Wonogondang. At 4 p.m. all of the students came back to the campus. That's all about EWD 2009. That's a great experience for me.
